My Theory on tears in Heaven or the lack thereof

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes
There will be no more death
or mourning or crying or pain.
For the old order of things has passed away.
Revelation 21:4

......................
When I think of heaven
I cannot help but think that I will be overcome
with the weight of what my sin cost -
I think it would be easy to find myself
wollering in an ocean of my own tears.
I guess that is why I am so glad He has promised
that the "old order of things" will pass away.
Because in the current order - heaven
would probably be filled with a lot more people crying
than just me,
and who wants to spend eternity
with a bunch of cry babies.

My Pursuit, His Sacrifice

Thinking takes place best in my car...
in the dark... on the way to work.
I need to think. I am a slow processor.
If I were a computer I would be a Tandy 1000ex from Radio Shack.
(I date myself, I know.) But it's true. Thinking for me takes time and silence.
And I never get enough of that.
Last night I was challenged with the realization that Jesus,
The Word,
God,
became flesh
and gave up his equality with God -
Forever.
Forever.
He was God, but he made himself lower than God (Philippians 2).
He gave up so much. Not just power - but the most powerful power we could ever comprehend. He gave up wealth - royalty - peace -
he gave up all those things that we - that I - spend my life pursuing.
I dream about a place where there is no sin, where there is beauty all the time, where people don't kill each other, don't sexually abuse children, cuss,
get cancer.
I long to be where God is.
and Jesus,
He gave it up.
I want to leave here.
I think about it every day.
I want to leave here and get to what Jesus had
He chose to leave what he had and come here.
It is too big for me to wrap my mind around.
Too Big.
My Jesus is just "too big!"
